In the ever-evolving world of beauty and skincare, technology continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing our understanding of our own skin. Among the latest innovations is the Meicet MC10, a sophisticated tool that helps individuals assess their skin health and make informed decisions about their skincare regimens. With the growing popularity of face analysers, this article explores the reasons why incorporating such device into your beauty routine could revolutionise your approach to skincare.
Face analysers are advanced devices or applications designed to evaluate various aspects of facial skin, providing a complete analysis of skin type, texture, and overall health. Utilising techniques such as digital imaging and artificial intelligence, these tools assess factors like hydration levels, pore size, pigmentation, wrinkles, and even skin elasticity.
The appeal of scanners like MC10 lies in their ability to offer personalised insights, enabling users to understand their skin’s unique needs. Unlike generic beauty products that may not address specific concerns, face analysers tailor recommendations to individual issues, promoting healthier skin and more effective beauty routines.
One of the most significant advantages of using a face analyser is the personalised skincare recommendations it offers. Each person’s skin is unique, influenced by factors such as genetics, environment, and lifestyle choices. A face analyser provides a detailed report on your skin condition, identifying concerns like dryness, oiliness, fine lines, or uneven tone.
With this information, users can make informed decisions when selecting products. Whether it’s choosing a moisturiser that caters to dryness or a serum focused on brightening, individuals can optimise their skincare regiment based on precise data rather than trial and error.
Regular use of the MC10 allows for consistent monitoring of skin health. By comparing readings over weeks or months, individuals can track improvements or changes in their skin condition. This data is valuable for evaluating the effectiveness of certain products or treatments.
For instance, if someone starts using a new anti-aging serum, the MC10 can help determine whether it is making a noticeable difference in fine lines and elasticity. Tracking these changes not only keeps consumers informed but also empowers them to adjust their skincare routine as needed.
Understanding how different products behave on your skin is vital for enhancing their effectiveness. MC10 can reveal how well your skin absorbs moisturisers, serums, and treatments by analysing hydration levels and pore performance. This knowledge enables you to maximise the benefits of each product.
Additionally, MC10 often provide insights into the types of ingredients that work best for your skin. For instance, if the analysis shows high levels of oiliness, the device may recommend lightweight gels or products high in salicylic acid rather than heavier creams that could lead to clogged pores.
With an array of skincare issues, from acne and rosacea to pigmentation and wrinkles, targeting specific concerns can be daunting the MC10 will simplify this process by identifying and quantifying these issues.
For example, for users dealing with acne-prone skin, the analysis may highlight the presence of enlarged pores and excess oil production. With this information, users can focus on products designed to reduce oiliness and exfoliate effectively, thereby targeting the root causes of breakouts.
Knowledge is power, especially in the realm of beauty and skincare. Understanding your skin’s unique needs can significantly boost your confidence. With the insights provided by a face analyser, individuals become better educated about their skin, leading to more deliberate choices in their skincare routine.
When you know that a specific product is beneficial for your skin type and concerns, it removes the guesswork from your beauty regimen. This confidence extends beyond just the products you use; it instils a sense of empowerment, knowing you are investing in your skin’s health wisely.
For many, navigating the vast array of skincare products can be overwhelming. Face analysers can help streamline your routine by identifying which products are necessary for your skin type and which may be redundant or ineffective.
Instead of accumulating a myriad of products that may not even address your skin’s needs, the insights from a face analyser can help create a concise, effective skincare regime. This not only saves time and money but also prevents the frustration of trying to decipher what works for your skin.
Incorporating a face analyser into your beauty routine can encourage other healthy habits. By understanding the effects of lifestyle choices—such as diet, hydration, and sun exposure—on your skin, you may be inspired to adopt a more holistic approach to skincare.
For instance, if the MC10 indicates that your skin is dehydrated, it could motivate you to drink more water or incorporate hydrating foods into your diet. Similarly, if excessive sun damage is detected, users may be prompted to prioritise sun protection in their daily routine.
As the beauty industry continues to embrace technology, face analysers stand out as invaluable tools for anyone looking to enhance their skincare routine. Their ability to provide personalised insights, track changes, and streamline product selection provides users with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their skin.
In a world where skincare is often driven by trends and marketing, devices like the MC10 will empower individuals to listen to their own skin. By understanding and validating their unique needs, users can take control of their skincare journey, leading to healthier, more radiant skin and ultimately boosting confidence.
Incorporate a face analyser into your beauty routine today and redefine your approach to skincare with data-driven results and personalised care tailored just for you. With this innovative technology at your side, achieving your skincare goals becomes not only possible but enjoyable.
Sculptra is a relatively new addition to the selection of treatments we offer here at the clinic, so now is the perfect opportunity to introduce you to it.
Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable treatment which is designed to boost natural collagen levels, restore a youthful glow, and improve skin quality. Sculptra has a gel-like quality and is formulated with poly-L-lactic acid, which has the ability to encourage your skin's cells to create additional collagen.
Research shows that by the age of 35, we have up to 20% less natural collagen in our skin. Collagen helps to maintain the structure and shape of the skin, which is why it plays such an important role in resisting signs of ageing such as sagging, lines and wrinkles.
Sculptra is a versatile injectable treatment that can be used in a number of different treatment areas. When injected into the cheeks, it can help to tighten the skin across the jawline for a firmer, more sculpted appearance. It can also be used to soften the appearance of smile and marionette lines and minimise the appearance of facial folds.
Sculptra is adept at minimising the appearance of lines and wrinkles, on the face and neck, however, it is not recommended for use on the lips or the delicate skin around the eyes.
It is important to visit a trusted and experienced practitioner for Sculptra treatment, as this will ensure that your treatment schedule is properly aligned with your skin goals. Generally, most patients will obtain their ideal outcomes after two to three Sculptra treatment sessions, which should be administered over the course of several months. Typically, individual sessions should be completed at least six to eight weeks apart.
During your initial treatment consultation, we will seek to understand your ideal outcomes and take your medical history to determine your suitability for Sculptra treatment.
If we determine that it is the best treatment option for you, during your first session, we will carefully map out the optimal injection sites and thoroughly cleanse the area before administering the treatment. To minimise discomfort, a topical anaesthetic can be applied.
Sculptra is a minimally invasive treatment, so you should be able to get on with your day as normal after treatment sessions. You will also be provided with clear aftercare instructions to ensure optimal outcomes. It is important you carry out this aftercare to optimize your results.
Most patients report seeing visible results after four weeks, which continue to improve over the course of several months as the collagen production process is stimulated. To ensure you obtain the best outcomes, it is recommended to gently massage the treatment area for the first five days following your treatment session. You should ideally aim to massage the area for five minutes, five times per day.
As with any injectable treatment, you may experience some minor side effects, however they should last no more than a few days. The most common side effects include swelling and bruising, as well as minor discomfort.
Sculptra has been the subject of extensive research, which found that 94% of trial participants who had their cheek region treated experienced visible improvement in their skin for up to 24 months. 95% of participants reported improved skin glow for up to 24 months, and 88% experienced improved tightness for the same duration of time after treatment.
If you are interested in Sculptra and would like some further information or to arrange a one-to-one consultation with one of our experienced practitioners, please give me a call or send an email.
If there’s one type of tweakment that has become madly popular in the past few years, it’s the glow-giving, skin-conditioning, ‘injectable moisturiser’ treatments like Profhilo.
We love them because they make the skin – on our faces, necks, hands, chests, even knees – look miles better – less crepey, plumper and fresher, and maybe a bit tighter – without changing our facial proportions or expressions one bit.
All the products in this category, from the original Restylane Skinboosters, via Volite (Juvederm) to Fillmed’s are based on a fluid form of hyaluronic acid. Some have additional ingredients to spice up the mix – there’s glycerol in Belotero’s Revive, and amino acids in Teoxane’s Redensity 1 and in Sunekos.
But polynucleotides are different.
‘They’re biostimulators,’ says Professor Bob Khanna, who has been working with different types of polynucleotides for a few years, ‘which means they kick-start regeneration in the skin.’
‘Yes, but rather than just providing hydration, polynucleotides are more like food or medicine for the cells, to make them produce collagen and elastin in a more meaningful way, and they also improve the extra cellular matrix [the layer of the skin in which the fibroblasts live] and they’re anti-inflammatory, too.’
They’re biopolymers – stretchy molecules made from fragments of fish DNA extracted from salmon or trout sperm which closely resemble human DNA.
Then these are not for you. Stick with hyaluronic-acid-based injectable moisturisers.
‘They target the fibroblasts and promote hydration of the skin, and collagen synthesis,’ says Professor Syed Haq, lecturing on a new polynucleotide product at a recent aesthetic conference, ‘and they also increase the number of fibroblasts.’ At the same time, they scavenge up free radicals [unstable molecules which accelerate ageing processes in the skin] and help build up the extra-cellular matrix.
All that collagen-boosting, extra hydration and elasticity means you can think of polynucleotides as a super-charged injectable moisture treatment. ‘They can be a preventative treatment for younger skin, or a recovery treatment for ageing skin,’ advises Professor Haq.
Prof Khanna likes to use polynucleotides to counteract dark circles under the eyes and to strengthen the thin delicate skin around the mouth. ‘The products are injected very superficially, and the procedures are incredibly quick and painless,’ he says, and he often uses Pluryal Silk polynucleotides in combination with conventional fillers all over the face.
Dr Sarah Tonks has been showcasing Nucleofill, another polynucleotide, at The Lovely Clinic for a couple of years, and likes it for use around the eyes, particularly for patients who aren’t suitable for tear trough filler, or who might have a tendency to go puffy if treated with a hyaluronic-acid based products.
In a nutshell, reduced wrinkling and crepiness and an improvement in skin tone and hydration. PhilArt, the product that Professor Haq is working with, is good for bringing down inflammation in the skin, which can reduce the redness of rosacea for months at a time. They’re also useful for improving skin condition ahead of energy-based treatments like laser or ultrasound.
Polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) are a sub-type of polynucleotides (PN) though they both have healing and anti-ageing effects.
Much the same as other injectable moisturiser treatments, so between £350 and £450 per round of treatment, depending on how big an area you’re having treated, and where the clinic you’re visiting is located.
Three or four sessions of treatment, two or three weeks apart.
People with: circulatory disorders, ongoing dermatitis, epilepsy, diabetes, active herpes, autoimmune disease. Also not appropriate for pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Polynucleotides are like injectable moisture treatments with extra powers, delivering more in the way of collagen- and elastin-boosting, and improved hydration. They’re anti-inflammatory, too, and are particularly good for treating dark circles around the eyes.

Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, so catching it as early as possible offers the best prognosis.
Melanoma forms from a cancerous change in a cell called the melanocyte. Melanocytes are found primarily in the skin but can be found in the back of the eye, and mucosal surfaces such as the genitals, the mouth, and the gut. When a melanocyte develops damage within its normal DNA it can replicate out of control forming a melanoma. For this to happen the area of the skin will change in appearance.
All cancers grow, when a cancer forms internally you may not know about it until you develop symptoms such as a cough or bleeding from the back passage, lethargy weight loss etc.
Skin cancer declares itself through a visible (but sometimes subtle) change in appearance. When my patients ask me what to look out for, I tend to use the analogy of nature. Things in nature such as trees, birds, flowers and even people have some form of symmetry.
When there is disease in nature symmetry is lost. The tree may lose a few branches, the flower may grow more on one side and die on the other. Moles on our skin should be symmetrical, like the flower both in shape and colour. Some people have naturally asymmetrical moles, but all their moles will be of a similar appearance and therefore retain symmetry for that individual.
Melanoma will not respect the rules of nature. It will grow in a way that becomes noticeable. Colours may change or there may be more than one colour. The shape may become odd and out of keeping with your other moles.
Sometimes, rarely melanoma forms as a new pink nodule or even a mole that seems to be disappearing. In these situations, one should think about getting a mole check.
Melanoma can be treated if it is found quickly.
The recommended approach is to follow the ABCDE rule. The checklist explains what to look for when checking moles or other skin changes.
A – Asymmetry
Most melanomas are likely to be uneven or irregular in shape (asymmetrical). Ordinary moles are usually more even and both halves look mostly the same (symmetrical).
B – Border
The edges around a melanoma (border) are more likely to be uneven, irregular or jagged. Ordinary moles usually have a clear,smooth-edged border.
C – Colour
Melanomas are usually more than one colour. They may have different shades, such as brown mixed with a black, red, pink, white, or blue tint. Normal moles usually only have shades of brown.
If you have red or fair hair and pale skin, the melanoma may only be red or pink with no brown. This is called amelanotic melanoma. It is much less common.
D – Diameter (width)
Melanomas are usually more than 6mm wide. Normal moles are usually about the size of the blunt end of a pencil or smaller.
If you have lots of large moles, some of them may be larger than 5mm in diameter.
E - Evolving (changing)
Look for changes in the size, shape, or colour of a mole. The change in shape can include the area becoming raised or dome shaped. Or, if the mole is flat, it may stay that way but become wider.
Of all of these it is the E that Is the most useful as a diagnostic, as cancer cannot grow without evolving and evolving means a change that can be seen.
Unlike other forms of cancer skin cancer is on the surface so doesn't require specialist tests or blood tests.
Regularly checking your skin is crucial for early detection of melanoma and other types of skin cancer. By becoming familiar with your skin and the appearance of your moles, birthmarks, and other marks, you can easily notice any changes or new signs or symptoms that may indicate a problem.
If you have any possible signs or symptoms of melanoma or a mole you are concerned about, please get a mole check or visit your GP as soon as possible.
At Beauty Revival we offer a mole check or mole mapping service – we take photos of the mole causing concerns using a Dyplens which takes dermascopic quality images that are highly magnified.
These are then sent to our partner Dermatology team who check and issue a written report on their findings.

Ultraviolet (UV) light is better thought of as ultraviolet radiation, as light is a form of radiation emitted from the sun.
Within the UV spectrum, there are two types of rays that can damage the DNA in your skin cells and lead to skin cancer. It’s important to protect your skin from both types:
UVB rays do not penetrate the skin surface very far, consequently, they primarily cause sunburn and play a significant role in the growth of skin cancer. A sunscreen’s SPF number refers mainly to the amount of UVB protection it provides.
UVA rays can pass deeper into the skin, therefore, leading to increased ageing of the skin. They can also cause sunburn. It’s important to look for the words “broad spectrum” on a product’s label, which means it has ingredients that can protect you from UVA as well as UVB rays.
It's important to protect yourself from excessive UV exposure since both UVA and UVB rays can damage the DNA in skin cells, leading to mutations and potentially causing skin cancer. Overexposure to UV light can also harm the eyes and contribute to eye conditions such as cataracts.
To minimise the risks associated with UV light, it's recommended to use sun protection measures such as wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen, protective clothing (e.g., hats, long sleeves), sunglasses with UV protection, and seeking shade when the sun is strongest (usually between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.).
The SPF (Sun Protection Factor) number is a measure of the effectiveness of sunscreen products in protecting the skin from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. It indicates how long a person can stay in the sun without getting sunburned compared to the time it would take without any sunscreen.
The SPF number primarily refers to the level of protection against UVB rays, which are responsible for sunburns and contribute to the development of skin cancer. The higher the SPF number, the greater the protection offered.
Here's a breakdown of what the SPF number means:
It's important to note that the SPF number primarily indicates protection against UVB rays, but it doesn't necessarily reflect the level of protection against UVA rays. UVA rays contribute to skin ageing and can also cause skin cancer. To ensure broad-spectrum protection, it's recommended to use a sunscreen labelled as "broad-spectrum" that provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
It's also important to remember that sunscreen should be applied generously and reapplied every two hours or after swimming or sweating heavily, regardless of the SPF number. Additionally, sun protection should not rely solely on sunscreen; other measures like seeking shade, wearing protective clothing, and using sunglasses are also essential for comprehensive sun protection.
At Beauty Revival we are partnered with Obagi medical skin care range and offer Obagi Sun Shield which is SPF50 tinted moisturiser offering Warm/Cool shades all in one.
Give unwelcome skin blemishes the cold shoulder with scientifically enhanced, minimally invasive, pioneering CryoPen™ cryotherapy
At Beauty Revival our most important mission is to help you love the skin you’re in. But sometimes this can be difficult with the arrival of unwanted marks, milia, and skin tags. Gone are the days that these were a fact of life and you had to love yourself ‘warts and all’. With pioneering, fast, safe, and effective cryotherapy treatments using CryoPen™’s state-of-the-art technology, you can finally give unwanted marks the cold shoulder.
The treatment is suitable for a range of cosmetic procedures, most of which have been phased out by GPs. These include:
But first, let’s break the ice about CryoPen™ cryotherapy. The cryotherapy technology harnesses nitrous oxide and intense, high pressure to allow the clinician to work with pinpoint accuracy. The unwanted tissue is destroyed by freezing the cellular fluid, which then forms crystallised ice, which in turn destroys the cell. And what’s more, the technique ensures no healthy cells are damaged in any way, leaving the rest of your skin flawless, and rendering the technology safe and efficient.
One treatment is all it takes to ice out your unwanted skin blemishes. And, the best thing about CryoPen™ cryotherapy is that it last from 5 to 30 seconds, meaning the procedure takes no time at all. Your unwanted skin imperfection could be gone in the blink of an eye. The procedure is only about as painful as tweezing a stray eyebrow hair. And, should any slight discolouration of the area result, it will be gone within six weeks, leaving absolutely no trace of the treatment or the blemish.
If the safety, speed, and ease of cryotherapy haven’t convinced you, just take a look at the long list of celebrities who swear by it. From James Bond (Daniel Craig turned to cryotherapy to maintain his physique), to Lindsay Lohan, pro-footballer Cristiano Ronaldo to America’s sweetheart Jennifer Aniston, and even a smattering of the Real Housewives!
And don’t worry about getting cold feet for your procedure, come in for a consultation so we can talk you through the best course of treatment for you personally. When it comes to achieving healthy, radiant skin, there's one powerhouse antioxidant that deserves special attention - glutathione.
This incredible molecule, naturally produced by our bodies, is known for its numerous benefits in enhancing skin condition. In this article, we will dive into the reasons why glutathione is considered a game-changer in skincare and how it can help you achieve the skin of your dreams.
Glutathione acts as a potent antioxidant, protecting our skin cells from the damaging effects of free radicals. These harmful molecules are generated by factors such as pollution, UV radiation, and stress, leading to premature ageing, dullness, and uneven skin tone. By neutralising free radicals, glutathione helps to minimise oxidative stress and preserve the youthful vitality of our skin.
One of the remarkable benefits of glutathione is its ability to promote skin brightening and even out complexion. It inhibits the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. By regulating melanin synthesis, glutathione can gradually lighten dark spots, reduce the appearance of blemishes, and promote a more luminous, radiant complexion.
Glutathione plays a crucial role in detoxifying our bodies by aiding in the removal of harmful toxins and heavy metals. When our bodies are overloaded with toxins, it can manifest in our skin as acne, dullness, and other skin issues. By promoting detoxification, glutathione helps to cleanse our cells and optimise their functioning. This purification process can result in clearer, healthier skin with a natural glow.
Collagen is a vital protein that provides structural support to our skin, keeping it firm, supple, and youthful. As we age, collagen production naturally declines, leading to the formation of wrinkles and sagging skin. Glutathione has been found to stimulate collagen synthesis, helping to maintain the elasticity and firmness of our skin. By boosting collagen production, glutathione contributes to a more youthful and plumper complexion.
A healthy immune system is crucial for maintaining vibrant skin. Glutathione supports our immune function by strengthening the body's defences against harmful pathogens and reducing inflammation. By promoting a balanced immune response, glutathione can help to alleviate skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis, resulting in clearer, healthier skin.
Glutathione's ability to improve skin condition is truly remarkable. From its antioxidant properties to its skin brightening effects and collagen-boosting capabilities, this incredible molecule offers a holistic approach to skincare.
By incorporating glutathione into your skincare routine, whether through supplements or topical applications, you can unlock the secrets to healthier, more radiant skin. Embrace the power of glutathione and watch your skin transform into its most beautiful state.

Stretch marks can appear for many reasons, but it’s getting rid of them that can make people anxious. Some people don’t like to see stretch marks, and that’s why Beauty Revival offers Collagen Induction Therapy or Micro-needling for stretch marks to help those who are looking to get rid of them.
Before you can understand how this treatment can really help them, it’s important to know how stretch marks work and why lotions may not be your solution.
Stretch marks are a common skin concern among women and men alike. They appear most common in places like:
The cause of stretch marks also varies in situations like: pregnancy, sudden gain/loss of weight, rapid growth, hereditary, stress, changes in physical conditions, etc.
When it comes to your skin, there are 3 different layers: the epidermis (outer), the dermis (middle), and the subcutaneous/hypodermic (deepest).
Stretch marks occur in the dermis when the connective tissue is “stretched” beyond its power of flexibility.
As it’s stretching, the collagen weakens and the normal production to keep the skin youthful is disrupted. What is left behind is the appearance of lighter skin, some redness at first, as well as what may look like bruising within the mark.
Stretch marks can be a sensitive or self-conscious skin concern for some people. While you should embrace your “tiger stripes”, we understand why you might want to cover them up or get rid of them.
While using lotions and lasers might combat the redness that can be caused when stretch marks first appear, the results might disappoint because they aren’t what you were expecting. You need something that will penetrate the skin at the dermis level to start the healing process.
Micro-needling is a minimally invasive treatment, also known in the cosmetic industry as collagen induction therapy. It’s used to treat stretch marks, acne scarring, hair restoration, and fine lines and wrinkles. Celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Anniston, and even Brad Pitt have all received this treatment.
At Beauty Revival, we use the SkinRePen by 4T Medical – a medical-grade micro-needling tool available to medical professionals.
The adjustable depth needles of the SkinRePen single use cartridge allows us to reach the dermis of the skin without bending or breaking, so you won’t have to be concerned about scarring or infection.
The wounds “traumatize” the skin and trigger the body’s natural response of creating more collagen and elastin to heal the wounds. With stretch marks its is important to wound the fibres beneath the dermis to enable this to happen. The natural healing process of the skin happens in three phases:
Since stretch marks themselves cause a disruption in the natural production of collagen, micro-needling will help not only restart that production, but the overproduction of elastin and collagen will help in healing the damaged connective tissue in the dermis that creates the stretch mark.
During the treatment, we will gently move the SkinRePen across the area where there are stretch marks with the tiny needles to create the micro-wounds. The length of the treatment will depend on the number and size of the areas being treated.
On average, one session can take about 30 minutes to perform, with anywhere between 3 to 6 treatments over the span of 4 to 6 months based on the severity of the stretch marks.
Micro-needling is safe and effective for all skin types and tones. It’s a great solution and alternative for treatments like chemical peels or lasers and can produce better results. This minimally invasive procedure is great for all who are trying to treat the appearance of their stretch marks. By calling us today, you can schedule your consultation to find out the best treatment plan for you and what you should expect for results!
Beauty Revival offer 3 booking options for Microneedling, Single Session, Course of 3, or Course of 6. If you're unsure which option to choose, please contact us.
It is commonly regarded that the lips and the eyes enhance your facial beauty. It is for this reason that lip augmentation also known as lip fillers are some of the most common treatments that are performed at Beauty Revival.
With age (and often habits, such as smoking) our lips loose volume, and create prominent labial folds. Rejuvenating the lips with hyaluronic acid based fillers is a favoured procedure as it is a temporary and reversible enhancement.
Sam,our facial aesthetic clinician at Beauty Revival, performs lip filler augmentation to boost lip volume, enhance the lip’s shape and smooth vertical lines. In experienced hands your lip augmentation can look very natural and appropriate for your facial structure. (nobody wants a trout pout!)
Always, always, always, research the clinician. Start with a little to begin with and see how you like it, don’t always go big especially if this is your first time.
Before your appointment, make sure you’re fully prepped – speak with the clinic to make sure you know what you’re allowed and not allowed to take before the treatment. If you trust your practitioner (which you ought to, otherwise don’t do the treatment with them!), then allow them to decide which filler is suitable for your desired goal – there are many choices out there, but we believe you should let the expert decide which one is right for you.
At Beauty Revival we only use premium grade fillers- there are hundreds on the market but the cheaper ones tend to be highly cross linked causing extreme swelling and sometimes even late onset nodules (lumps after a month or two)
You should always have a thorough consultation before your treatment, and know the risks associated. These should be explained to you before any treatment but also how your clinician will deal with any problems should they arise during treatment Is your clinician medically trained ? Could they dissolve the filler should a vascular occlusion occur? Stay safe! Cheaper isn't always a good deal when your face is at stake.
In the right hands, lip fillers can enhance the beauty of a face and create a beautiful smile. The following are some advantages of lip fillers.
Before your lip filler appointment, here’s some friendly guidance:
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a form of non-surgical micro-needling. It is a minimally invasive treatment that involves the use of a medical grade hand piece containing fine needles that is worked over an area of skin to help stimulate the production of collagen.
It is used for:
Collagen Induction Therapy works by stimulating our body’s natural collagen production system.
During the treatment, tiny micro-needles (sharp fine needles) on the medical grade handpiece are moved systematically over the chosen treatment area. The fine needles create evenly spaced micro-punctures in the skin.
The tiny-punctures create micro-damage within the skin, which triggers the body’s natural collagen production. Over next few months after the treatment the amount of collagen in the skin will increase giving the skin a revitalised, plumper and smoother looking appearance.
At Beauty Revival we use a medical grade handpiece that is linear in shape, this unique system delivers the needles almost painlessly into the skin at varying speed and depth depending on the area being treated.
Compare this to traditional round pen style devices commonly used and the skin is far less traumatised as these two research paper photos show.
The one on the left is the trauma caused by traditional round head pen devices compared to the unique linear style handpiece used at Beauty Revival.
One of the other unique selling points of this amazing hand piece is that the puncture wounds close within 12-15 mins as opposed to 12 hours with a round head pen.
At Beauty Revival we combine this treatment with medical grade mesotherapy serums which enhance and turbo boost the effects of this amazing skincare treatment.
Some serums tighten the skin whist others reduce hyperpigmentation and lighten the skin but all of them add vitamins and hyaluronic acid to refresh and moisturise the skin.
There are various needle sizes that are used to treat different skin concerns; shorter needles penetrate the surface of the skin whereas longer needles penetrate much deeper and are used into areas that may have scarring from acne or injury.
Some people describe Collagen Induction Therapy as a virtually painless technique with a slight ‘tingling sensation’. That said, some find it painful and if this is the case your practitioner will apply a topical anaesthetic 20 minutes before the treatment to eliminate any potential pain.
Collagen Induction Therapy sessions vary depending on the size of the area being treated, and can take between 30 – 60 minutes
At Beauty Revival we recommend a course of 3 sessions to start, carried out one month apart- this is best practice for tightening and rehydrating the skin but if you have specific scarring or pigmentation issues you may need extra sessions. All of this will be discussed at your consultation.
Monthly maintenance sessions are available to keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay and keep your skin glowing and hydrated.
The cost of a monthly maintenance session is just £125
The cost of a course of 3 sessions is just £350
The cost of a course of 6 sessions is £625
